Expressive and Receptive Language – preschool (expressing oneself through words and understanding spoken words)
Expressive and Receptive Language – school-age (may involve more literacy-based intervention to support reading and writing as well as speaking and listening)
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (difficulty coordinating muscle movements for producing speech sounds)
Pragmatic/Social Language (difficulty understanding or expressing appropriate social communication, often seen in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder)
Service Options:
In order to address each child’s communication needs within a natural environment, all services are provided in the child’s home or community setting.*
Phone consultation: I will chat with you about your concerns, questions, and how I may be able to help address your needs.
Screening: I will come to your home and complete a screening (brief assessment) to evaluate if a full, formal assessment is warranted. This is not a required service and may be omitted if you wish to proceed directly to a formal, full evaluation.
Full Evaluation: I will come to your home and complete an applicable full assessment to determine specific areas of need. Reports of assessment results are provided orally and written in a formal diagnostic report. A therapy treatment plan, including applicable goals, is created based on your child’s specific areas of need with your input. If your child is on an IEP, please provide a copy at the evaluation.
Individual Therapy Sessions: Therapy is provided one-on-one in three increment options, 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute sessions. Length and frequency of sessions are determined on a case-by-case basis. ** Sessions are provided in your home where you are able to observe and receive tips and training to support your child outside of the therapy sessions.
*At times, therapy may be conducted in a community setting, per parent agreement, to promote generalization of skills across settings and communication partners.
**Early intervention services are contracted with Envision.
